We’re a welcoming, family-friendly club helping boys and girls of all ages and skill levels discover a fast, fun and exciting team sport right here in Wyndham. Whether your child has played before or is picking up a lacrosse stick for the first time, our focus is on building confidence, fitness, friendships and teamwork in a supportive environment. As a newer club, every family who joins helps us grow the game, strengthen local sport, and create something special for the next generation of Wyndham Warriors. Why choose lacrosse?
Lacrosse is fast, fun, skilful and exciting team sport. It combines the speed of basketball, the teamwork of soccer, the hand-eye coordination of cricket, and the open-field movement of AFL, making it a brilliant sport for boys and girls who love to run, learn and be part of a team. For many families, lacrosse is something new and that’s part of what makes it special. Kids can start as complete beginners, learn the basics quickly, and build confidence through catching, throwing, scooping, defending and scoring. Lacrosse Victoria describes junior lacrosse as a fast, fun and safe team game, with opportunities for boys, girls and mixed teams from under-10s through to under-18s. Lacrosse is also growing around the world. World Lacrosse says the sport is now played in nearly 100 countries, with its membership doubling from 45 to 90 national federations over the past two decades. And now the sport has an even bigger future: lacrosse is officially returning to the Olympic Games at Los Angeles 2028, where men’s and women’s teams will compete in the fast-paced Sixes format. At the Wyndham Warriors, we’re proud to be helping grow lacrosse in Melbourne’s west by giving local children and families the chance to discover a sport that is active, inclusive, exciting and full of opportunity.
